The Real Madrid forward who also doubles up the same position for his home country Portugal and the current captain came into the limelight in 2003. Since his initial young moments at the Old Trafford, he has managed to overcome several challenging moments and become among the best if not the best footballer in the world today.

His main tactics are troubling the defense of any opposing team and furiously fighting to identify the weakest points of the opponents so that he scores. He has managed to be so good over the years in this lead role, and through this, he has managed to amass himself several records and titles.

Here are some of his notable achievements in the present and previous clubs he has played for, including his national team.

Individual and Team Field Records

Cristiano Ronaldo has managed to help not only the team he plays for but also made a name for himself. Some of the first records to break was while he was still a player at Manchester United whereby he managed to break a record that had not been broken for almost fourty years in the history of the Red Devils. Ronaldo managed to outdo George Best’s score record which was set way back during the 1967-1968 season.

Also, he has managed to be the only European player to set a goalscoring milestone of more than fifty goals in five different seasons. With these, he managed to be the fastest person to score more than a hundred goals within the shortest time possible while also scoring against each and every team in one season. This was while playing for Real Madrid in May 2012.

And that is not all; he has managed the highest number of hat tricks within a season, the record now standing at eight per season.

Honours, Tributes & Achievements

soccer-awardsMost notably are while playing for Manchester United he managed to clinch the Barclay’s Player of the Month honors for two consecutive seasons. Only two other players had achieved this before, Fowler and Bergkamp.

Cristiano Ronaldo has the Ballon d’Or to his name having won it consecutively from 2013, 2014, and 2015. He still has high expectations of clinching it this year in 2016. The Ballon d’Or is so prestigious and the selection process so strict which makes it impressive.

He has managed to clinch the FIFA World Player of the year becoming the only Portuguese to win this accolade since Luis Figo won it in 2001.

On top of the awards, Cristiano Ronaldo has managed to win the European Golden Shoe a historical four times. In 2008, 2011, 2014 and 2015. Some players who have come only close to this are the likes of Thierry Henry, Fernando Gomes, Lionel Messi, Gerd Muller, Dudu Georgescu and Ally McCoist. Surprisingly enough, Ronaldo managed to win this accomplishment twice while playing the La Liga and the English Premier League.

Another notable moment was when he helped his country to the 2016 Euro Cup and being named the ultimate Portuguese player of all time.
